Greyline

Ice Concrete

LITE WT (8)

When mass concreting work is undertaken, large temperature gradients between the core and surface of structures induce thermal fractures. Higher concrete temperatures generate a variety of challenges, including quicker drying of concrete, loss of workability, cold joints development, excessive shrinkage cracks, rapid evaporation of curing water, and finishing difficulties, ultimately resulting in a decrease in the 28-day compressive strength.

To address these difficulties, Greyline Ice Concrete is manufactured in a Special Chilling Plant that uses chilled water or ice flakes to regulate the temperature of the concrete and keep it within acceptable limits. Other chemicals are likewise thermally regulated and employed to keep the temperature within acceptable ranges throughout the placement process. This significantly decreases all of the downsides described above.

Usage

  • Because of its excellent workability, compaction is more easier and more effective.

  • Improved setup pattern allows for more time for placement, compaction, and finishing.
  • Concrete’s plastic shrinkage resistance has been improved.
  • Superior early strengths allow for early formwork removal.
